Sunday, February 5, 2012 Blessing of the Candles If you use candles at home for your personal prayer and meditation, you may wish to bring your new unblessed candles to church today when we celebrate The Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple (Candlemas).

Food Bank Sunday The first Sunday of every month is our Food Bank Sunday. Drop off non-perishable food items at the coat racks at the back of the church to help support St. Peter's Food Bank which services residents of south Oshawa (south of the 401). Saturday, February 18, 2012 Good News Reviews 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Held in the Parish Hall Exploring the Anglican faith journey through newspapers “The Anglican Journal” and “The Anglican”. Please join us for an interactive discussion on an article chosen by our guest speaker. If you are able, please bring your own copy. Light lunch provided. Mardi Gras Ham Dinner Fundraiser $15 for ham dinner with potatoes, vegetables, dessert and beverages.
Doors open at 4:30, dinner served at 5:00. Last Sundays of the Month Reel Faith Exploring themes of faith in films. At 7:00 p.m. in the parish hall. Popcorn and pop provided. Bring your friends! Drop off your empty beer, wine and liquor bottles at the coat racks at the back of the church to help support your church. Saturday, March 3, 2012 Trent-Durham Area Day of Celebration 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. St. Peter's, Cobourg A day of fun, food and fellowship. This year's theme is "Come to the Banquet - Taste and See!" Workshops include food for the body, mind and spirit. Children ages 4-9 and teens ages 10-17 have their own wonderful program planned.
