Special prayer requests from parishioners will be included the Prayers of the People part of the Sunday service. They will also be included in the weekly "What's Happening at St. Peter's" email to parishioners and friends of St. Peter's so they can be included in their daily prayers.
If someone you know is ill or going through difficult times and you wish to add them to the prayer list, advise Yvonne Smith (email). If you do not have access to email, advise one of the Wardens or complete a Prayer Request Form and place in on the offering plate.
For the Oshawa Churches Working Group
Heavenly Father, in your Word you give us a vision of your heavenly city. Visit, we pray, our local neighbourhoods, and make a straight path for the unfolding of your heavenly Kingdom in this earthly city, our home. By the power of your Holy Spirit, enliven our imagination. Give us eyes to see where your Spirit is already at work in our communities, and show us where we may join in Your good work. May your Church become an instrument of blessing to our city, that your kingdom may come and your will be done, in Oshawa, as it is in heaven. Amen. – The Rev. Stephanie Douglas-Bowman, Christ Church Oshawa

A General Intercession
Be mindful, O Lord, of thy people bowed before thee, and of those who are absent through age, sickness or infirmity. Care for the infants, guide the young, support they aged, encourage the faint-hearted, collect the scattered, and bring the wandering to thy fold. Travel with the voyagers, defend the widows, shield the orphans, deliver the captives, heal the sick. Succour all who are in tribulation, necessity, or distress. Remember for good all those that love us, and those that hate us, and those that have desired us, unworthy as we are, to pray for them. And those whom we have forgotten, do thou, O Lord, remember. For thou art the Helper of the helpless, the Saviour of the lost, the Refuge of the wanderer, the Healer of the sick. Thou, who knowest each man’s need, and hast heard his prayer, grant unto each according to thy merciful loving kindness and thy eternal love; through Jesus Christ our Lord Amen. – the Book of Common Prayer
